Imitation Pizza Pockets

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 hot dogs
- 2 slices american cheese
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven 350 degrees.
- 2 mix flour, sugar, 1 tsp salt and baking powder.
- 3 cut in butter.
- 4 add milk and kneed into dough and rest 10 minutes.
- 5 while dough is resting, prep filling by slicing hot dogs into thin "dimes".
- 6 mix seasoning and 1/4 tsp salt into ketchup and microwave 20 seconds (this makes the ketchup taste like pizza sauce.
- 7 mix hot dog dimes into ketchup. set aside.
- 8 cut cheese slices into thirds and set aside.
- 9 divide dough into 6 balls and roll out into 6" circle on floured surface.
- 10 on one side of the circle, add a peice of cheese.
- 11 onto cheese, spoon 1-2 tbs of filling.
- 12 use finger to make that edge of the circle half wet or the dough might not seal correctly.
- 13 pull other half of the circle of dough over filling and use a wet fork to crimp the edges. use a knife to trim the edges. (trimmed dough can be used to make more pockets if you add a bit of water and kneed it smooth a bit.).
- 14 put on greased cookie sheet and bake 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
