Egyptian Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 5 -7 garlic, crushed
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons oil (can add more)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Recipe

  • 1 saute onions med heat until quite brown.
  • 2 add garlic and cook only a little.
  • 3 add tomato juice and sugar and cook 15-20mins.
  • 4 add vinegar and seasoning and cook 2 -3 minutes.
