Flo's Shrimp Newburg

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 cups ripe olives
  • 3 lbs cooked shrimp
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups half-and-half cream
  • 1/2 cup sherry wine
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika

Recipe

  • 1 rough chop olives.
  • 2 melt butter in dutch oven. add shrimp, stir to gently coat with butter.
  • 3 add seasonings, milk, half & half, cornstarch stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
  • 4 add olives and sherry, stir and serve immediately.
  • 5 serve over biscuits or toast points.
