Cretone Pate

Total Time: 4 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 3 oxo beef cubes
  • 15 soda crackers, crushed
  • cinnamon
  • allspice

Recipe

  • 1 combine lamb, onion, garlic, water and oxo.
  • 2 bring to a boil, stirring to break up lamb.
  • 3 reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes.
  • 4 remove from heat and stir in cracker crumbs.
  • 5 add a bit of cinnamon and allspice to taste.
  • 6 puree in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  • 7 taste and add salt and pepper to adjust seasoning.
  • 8 line a 2 cup mold with plastic wrap and fill. cover and refrigerate for several hours.
