Indian Chick Peas

Ingredients

- 2 cups canned chick-peas
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups dried onions, reconstituted and drained
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 cup diced tomato
- 1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
Recipe
- 1 drain garbanzo beans, reserving their liquid.
- 2 in a frying pan, heat the butter and sauté until lightly golden.
- 3 add the seasonings and tomatoes and cook 10 minutes longer.
- 4 combine tomatoes and beans in saucepan. add chicken broth and 1 cup of reserved liquid to cover.
- 5 cover and simmer 20 minutes. serve hot.
