Healthy Homemade Granola

Ingredients

- 6 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups raw almonds
- 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 cup ground flax seeds
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 preheat the oven to 300°f.
- 2 mix the dry ingredients and seasonings in a large bowl.
- 3 mix the wet ingredients together, then stir into the dry ingredients.
- 4 stir well to mix thoroughly.
- 5 spread the mixture into two baking dishes.
- 6 bake for 35-40 minutes, or until evenly golden brown.
- 7 stir every 10-15 minutes to ensure even browning.
- 8 if you use dried fruit, stir it in once the granola has cooled. store in the refrigerator.
