Healthy Homemade Granola

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 6 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup ground flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 300°f.
  • 2 mix the dry ingredients and seasonings in a large bowl.
  • 3 mix the wet ingredients together, then stir into the dry ingredients.
  • 4 stir well to mix thoroughly.
  • 5 spread the mixture into two baking dishes.
  • 6 bake for 35-40 minutes, or until evenly golden brown.
  • 7 stir every 10-15 minutes to ensure even browning.
  • 8 if you use dried fruit, stir it in once the granola has cooled. store in the refrigerator.
