Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 (4 lb) chicken, cut up
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon season-all salt
- 3/4 cup flour
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup crisco cooking oil
Recipe
- 1 combine seasonings in flour; dredge chicken pieces to coat; fry in hot oil until browned.
- 2 blend remaining flour with water; pour over chicken; cover and simmer on low 45 minutes until meat is almost falling off bone and gravy is thickened. make sure to stir gently so gravy doesn't stick.
