Fried Squash Blossoms

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 12 large squash blossoms, washed and drained
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 cup oil

Recipe

  • 1 combine eggs, flour, water and seasonings to make batter.
  • 2 dip blossoms in batter until well coated, then fry in hot fat (375 degrees) until golden brown
  • 3 drain on absorbent paper and serve warm.
