Italian Style Crustless Quiche

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/2 lb fully cooked italian sausage
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, divided

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 place margarine in a quiche dish or a deep dish pie plate, place in oven and let melt for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • 3 while margarine is melting, lightly brown sausage, onion and green pepper for about 10 minutes or until onion and pepper is slightly soft, drain if needed.
  • 4 beat together eggs, milk, italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until light and slightly foamy.
  • 5 then add in sausage mixture, and 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  • 6 pour into dish, and top with remaining cheese.
  • 7 bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until center is puffy.
  • 8 test for doneness with a toothpick inserted between the center and edge of pan.
  • 9 let set for 10 minutes.
  • 10 this will serve 6 with a salad or 4 without a salad.
