Italian Style Crustless Quiche

Ingredients

- 1/2 lb fully cooked italian sausage
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1/4 cup milk
- 5 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, divided
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 place margarine in a quiche dish or a deep dish pie plate, place in oven and let melt for about 3 to 5 minutes.
- 3 while margarine is melting, lightly brown sausage, onion and green pepper for about 10 minutes or until onion and pepper is slightly soft, drain if needed.
- 4 beat together eggs, milk, italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until light and slightly foamy.
- 5 then add in sausage mixture, and 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese.
- 6 pour into dish, and top with remaining cheese.
- 7 bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until center is puffy.
- 8 test for doneness with a toothpick inserted between the center and edge of pan.
- 9 let set for 10 minutes.
- 10 this will serve 6 with a salad or 4 without a salad.
