Homemade Turkey Breakfast Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 93% lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon mrs. dash table blend seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • cooking spray
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 combine ground meat with all ingredients, up to and including the nutmeg. cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight. form the mixture into 8 patties or links if you prepfer. two ounc each. when ready to cook. spray a skillet with cooking spray and heat over med-high heat. add the oil. when the pot is hot, add the patties and cook for about 4 minutes. spray the top of the patties and flip, to cook the other side. cook for an additional 4 minutes or until done. transfer the patties to a plate lined with paper towel to drain. serve and enjoy. 1 serving equals to patties.
