Healthy Beef And Mac

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 cups almond milk (or your favorite milk)
- 1 1/2 cups macaroni
- 1 tablespoon arrowroot (or corn starch)
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon evaporated cane juice (or sugar)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Recipe
- 1 in a large skillet brown the meat with the onion, bell pepper and celery.
- 2 drain off the fat.
- 3 add hot water and milk to the meat in the skillet.
- 4 mix the seasoning in a ziploc bag.
- 5 add the macaroni to the skillet.
- 6 add the seasonings to the skillet.
- 7 bring to a boil, cover and simmer on low for 12 - 20 minutes, until the macaroni is tender.
- 8 when the noodles are tender, add the cheese, stir and cover for a minute or two until the cheese is melted.
- 9 remove from heat and let stand until it is to the sauciness/thickness you prefer.
