Grandma's Campfire Stew

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 (10 ounce) cans concentrated vegetable soup
  • water

Recipe

  • 1 add seasonings to ground beef, mix well.
  • 2 make into 1/2 inch balls.
  • 3 put oil in frying pan or heavy kettle, heat, add onion and meatballs and cook until meatballs are well browned.
  • 4 pour off any excess fat.
  • 5 add vegetable soup and enough water or soup stock to prevent sticking.
  • 6 cover and cook slowly until balls are cooked all through.
  • 7 serve hot with toasted garlic bread.
