Crunchy Wedges (pita Chips)

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted or 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 small pita breads

Recipe

  • 1 use pita breads that are about 6 inches in diameter.
  • 2 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 3 lightly brush each bread, on both sides, with either melted butter or olive oil.
  • 4 cut each pita into 8 wedges. seperate wedges so you have 2 thinner pieces from each wedge.
  • 5 place wedges, rough side down, in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • 6 sprinkle with seasonings of your choice: salt, pepper, dried herbs, etc.
  • 7 bake, stirring once for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown and crisp. cool slightly before using.
  • 8 store in an airtight container on counter or freeze in ziploc bags.
  • 9 to recrisp if necessary, place on baking sheet and heat at 300 degrees for 5 minutes.
