French Fried Cauliflower

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 large cauliflower, steamed until soft to the touch, about 15 minutes after boiling
  • 1 cup bisquick
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons pesto sauce
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • crisco (for frying)

Recipe

  • 1 use a deep pan or a regular fryer.
  • 2 heat oil until you think it is hot enough. you can check with a cube of bread.
  • 3 drain the cauliflower and let cool.
  • 4 mix together in a bowl the bisquick, pesto, italian seasoning, pepper and cheese.
  • 5 dip the cauliflower pieces into the egg and then coat with the batter.
  • 6 fry until golden brown.
  • 7 as soon as you remove it from the fat, sprinkle it with more cheese.
