French Fried Cauliflower

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1 large cauliflower, steamed until soft to the touch, about 15 minutes after boiling
- 1 cup bisquick
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons pesto sauce
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- crisco (for frying)
Recipe
- 1 use a deep pan or a regular fryer.
- 2 heat oil until you think it is hot enough. you can check with a cube of bread.
- 3 drain the cauliflower and let cool.
- 4 mix together in a bowl the bisquick, pesto, italian seasoning, pepper and cheese.
- 5 dip the cauliflower pieces into the egg and then coat with the batter.
- 6 fry until golden brown.
- 7 as soon as you remove it from the fat, sprinkle it with more cheese.
