French Canadian Pie

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 unbaked pie shells
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 lb potato, boiled peeled & cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

Recipe

  • 1 set oven at 375 degrees.
  • 2 heat oil.
  • 3 saute onion until tender.
  • 4 add beef, lamb.
  • 5 cook until meat is browned.
  • 6 mash potatoes until smooth (add enough milk or chicken broth to potatoes untl smooth).
  • 7 add to meat mixture and mix well.
  • 8 place in 2 pie shells.
  • 9 cover each pie with a top crust (use other 2 pie crust for top).
  • 10 bake ay 375 for 30 minutes until brown.
