Fat-free Seasoned Ground Beef For Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 garlic clove, smashed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme, dried

Recipe

  • 1 brown the beef in a 12 inch skillet along with your chopped onion. as soon as all the pink is gone pour the beef into a strainer and rinse with clear water.
  • 2 add beef and onion back to the pan with a little water to de-glaze (or wine). add seasonings and cook until most of the water evaporates.
  • 3 continue with your recipe or cool, cover and refrigerate or freeze.
