Easy Shepard's Pie

Ingredients

• Servings: 4
• 1 lb ground round
• 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 16 ounces potatoes, mashed
• 3 ounces cheddar cheese

Recipe

• 1 brown ground round, onion and seasonings. drain fat. layer in 8x8 pan. cover with mashed potatoes (left over mashed potatoes work especially well for this recipe).
• 2 bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until potatoes just begin to brown on edges. remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese. return to oven for 5 minutes or until cheese begins to melt.
• 3 let sit 5 minutes before serving.
