Homemade Cashew Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 cups roasted cashews
  • 2 -3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 in a food processor combine the nuts, 2 tablespoons of the oil, the salt, and the sugar, if desired.
  • 2 pulse rapidly, scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula occasionally.
  • 3 for a smoother butter, add more oil, 1 teaspoon at a time.
  • 4 adjust the seasoning, to taste.
