Harry Gormley's Sour Cream Noodle Bake

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (elbow or something similar)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 cook pasta according to package directions.
  • 2 brown beef, drain off fat.
  • 3 add seasonings and tomato sauce; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 4 combine green onions, sour cream, cottage cheese and pasta.
  • 5 place alternating layers of pasta mixture and meat mixture in a 2-quart casserole dish; starting with pasta and ending with meat mixture.
  • 6 top with cheddar cheese.
  • 7 bake uncovered at 350°f for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbling around the edges.
