Herbed Cottage Cheese Biscuits

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dried italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (16 ounce) container small curd low fat cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400ºf.
  • 2 combine flour, baking powder, sugar and seasoning.
  • 3 cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
  • 4 add cottage cheese and eggs, stir until moistened.
  • 5 turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth, about 5 minutes.
  • 6 roll out dough to 3/4-inch thickness and cut with a 2-inch floured round cutter.
  • 7 place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
