Guacamole

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 lime, juice of
  • 1 tablespoon red onion, chopped fine
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 pinch southwest seasoning (optional) or 1 pinch cayenne (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 1 roma tomato, seeded & chopped

Recipe

  • 1 cut the avocado in 1/2 lengthwise around the pit.
  • 2 separate, remove pit and while still in the shell score each half with a knife into small squares.
  • 3 remove avocado from shell and place in a bowl.
  • 4 add lime juice and salt and mash with a fork to desired consistency. i like to leave some small chunks.
  • 5 add remaining ingredients, stir.
  • 6 cover and refrigerate for one hour.
