Ingredients

- 1/2 lb bulk italian sausage
- 1/4 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can cut up tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning, crushed
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 dash salt
- hot cooked pasta
Recipe
- 1 in a skillet cook sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic until meat is brown.
- 2 drain off fat.
- 3 in a medium bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients and stir in cooked meat mixture.
- 4 place in 4 quart crock pot and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
- 5 discard bay leaf before serving.
- 6 serve over your favorite pasta.
