Italian Spaghetti Sauce By Audrey M

Total Time: 10 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 5
  • 1/2 lb bulk italian sausage
  • 1/4 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can cut up tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning, crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 dash salt
  • hot cooked pasta

Recipe

  • 1 in a skillet cook sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic until meat is brown.
  • 2 drain off fat.
  • 3 in a medium bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients and stir in cooked meat mixture.
  • 4 place in 4 quart crock pot and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
  • 5 discard bay leaf before serving.
  • 6 serve over your favorite pasta.
