Hot Itaalian Sausage Soup

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bulk hot italian sausage
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can italian stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup frozen italian vegetables
  • 3/4 cup bell pepper, julienned
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or 1/4 cup wine
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • fresh parsley (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink.
  • 2 meanwhile, in a large saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil.
  • 3 reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
  • 4 drain sausage, add to soup, and heat through.
