Hot Itaalian Sausage Soup

Ingredients
- 1 lb bulk hot italian sausage
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can italian stewed tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup frozen italian vegetables
- 3/4 cup bell pepper, julienned
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chicken broth or 1/4 cup wine
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- fresh parsley (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 in a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink.
- 2 meanwhile, in a large saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil.
- 3 reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
- 4 drain sausage, add to soup, and heat through.
