Healthy Whole Wheat Bagels (vegan)

Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 3/4 cups bread flour
- 2 tablespoons vital gluten
- 1 1/4 cups soymilk
- 1 egg substitute (either a 'flax egg' or an egg replacer)
- 2 tablespoons butter, vegan (i like earth balance buttery sticks)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (or more if you like a sweeter bread)
- 1 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 put all ingredients in the bread machine pan.
- 2 select dough setting.
- 3 when machine is done cycling, turn out onto wax paper or a floured surface.
- 4 pull dough apart and shape into bagels, about softball size.
- 5 place them on a greased baking sheet far apart as they will rise.
- 6 brush with olive oil. you can also top with any seasonings you like at this point.
- 7 cover and let rise about one hour. they may double in size.
- 8 bake at 350 degrees for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown.
